Do you have “Frazzled Woman Syndrome”?

Thrive Podcast (1)

Instead of trying to control our outer world, we need to put that energy into looking inside of ourselves for the peace we are seeking. Trying to control the uncontrollable will only result in a life full of stress and anxiety.

When I was going through my own personal hell with my health, unraveling the tangled web of my stage 3 Adrenal Burnout, depression, anxiety and disordered and unhappy relationship with my body and food – and so much more I won’t get in to here – I never dreamed that the purpose of going through all of that, and coming out the other side, would become my soul mission to help other women navigate this radical road to self healing.

I have always been an intense person, with a strong drive to push, force, and control everything in my life, along with a strong case of perfectionism that went on behind everything I tried to do in my life from my eating, exercise to parenting and running my business. When something wasn’t the way I wanted it to be, or I felt ‘fat’ that day, I’d tighten up the reins and restrict my diet to ‘get back in line’.

This force, push and control way of being in daily life sets us up for the perfect storm – which will eventually result in some sort of health crisis. Fear puts the body in “fight or flight mode”.

When the kids were behaving in ways I didn’t like, I’d raise my voice, and try to control the situation. Then, I’d go and eat some sugar to numb my stressful emotions.

Living in a constant state of fear, anxiety, and overwhelm burns out our adrenals.

One of my greatest strengths, and what has got me to where I am today, is my tenacity and determination. But as it goes, our greatest strengths can become our greatest weakness, if not kept in check, and somewhat in balance.

I tried to control so many things – things that were beyond my control – and guess what living in this constant stress mode does physiologically to our body?

It increases cortisol (stress hormone!), and over time if this is the norm, eventually you will hit a wall.

I have covered this more in depth in the 2 part Adrenal Health video series in hopes to reach as many women as possible with my message. I am on a mission to spread the word, and I ask for your help with this. If you can simply share this blog out with your social media (Facebook, Twitter) so that more women can see these videos – I would be deeply grateful.

You never know what this could do for even one woman who is struggling and has no idea what is going on.

I have written further on the subject of Adrenal Fatigue and the symptoms in this blog.

Please feel free to pass them along to anyone you know that has any of these signs, and share your new-found knowledge with as many others as you can! Let’s work together to spread the message about this little known condition, that can cause serious health implications over the long term.

To find out if you have any of the top 5 signs of this reversible and medically unrecognized health condition, what stage you are at, and what to do about increasing your energy,  sign up for the FREE 5 day Energize Stress and Adrenal Health series!
